I would like to write how we triumphantly arrived at the Pacific Ocean.
I would like to tell how much I loved California.
I would like to say how bizarre it was to meet movie stars at Hollywood.
The simple truth is that we didn¡¯t go to California.
We
were so close to our objective, you know. From Phoenix to the
California border there was only about 200 miles to cover, only a few
hours of driving. My car covered a distance over 7000 miles since going
to the United States, so that small distance wasn¡¯t intimidating.
We
decided that if we want to go to California we will be going there and
traveling across the entire west coast; it¡¯s a distance of about 1500
miles. Unfortunately the probability that my car can accomplish this
ordeal seems low due to current mechanical issues¡
We about
decided to go to Los Angeles, at least. But we were afraid to have a bad
opinion of California if we only see that city. Besides that would suck
to see only a fraction of the sea and then turn back when we just want
to see more.
Am I disappointed?
Of course not! I have
witnessed enough marvels to feel satisfied with my current road trip.
Sometimes in life we can¡¯t fulfill every objective at once or in a
timely manner. I learned that there¡¯s a time for each experience. And
California will simply be part of another adventure.
Besides, the last thing I saw in the western United States was beautiful beyond description.
