Yves Saint Laurent Chyc Large Flap Shoulder Bag
Posted at 11:38 AM, 8/8/2011
Lady like shoulder bags define the Fall 2010 season and YSL defines chic
with its new CHYC shoulder bag. The longer strap is so flattering and
creates an illusion replica handbags of
length which will make you look trim and slim (now who doesn¡¯t want
that?!?!) I love the way it looks dipping just below the hips and
casually slung on the shoulder with a crisp white shirt and a pair of
jeans (Chemin de Fer if you can find them!). The clever use of the Y
logo in brushed gold hardware is also gorgeous with the grainy patent
leather. I say for A/W 2010, put your Chanel bags to rest and grab a
YSL Chyc instead!
I was initially interested only because this looks nothing like the
motorcycle bag, not that there is anything wrong with the motorcycle
it¡¯s just that Balenciaga has done nothing new in 10 years. When I go in
to my neighborhood noodle shop and half the women there has that bag or
a close approximation of it, I¡¯m gonna be turned off. But after looking
at it for a couple of days, I have come to really louis vuitton speedy love
it. Not just because this is new for Balenciaga and I¡¯m excited to see
something new, this bag does stand on its own merit. Those giant outer
pockets are the bomb! OK, so the straps are not at all original but who
cares, it totally works here. Thank you for the shoulder pads because I
just don¡¯t have it in me anymore to suffer for fashion. There is a total
rocker vibe here that fits into a Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas non-musical lifestyle. The exaggerated proportions, that¡¯s what does it here. Love! At Barneys New York for $2495.
Horse+Nail Charlie Bag
Posted at 11:38 AM, 8/8/2011
The name sounds strange until you see the bag and then it totally makes
sense. Yes, this is in fact inspired by horse and nails. But the origin
of the name comes from coach crossbody designer
Lindsey Hufnagel¡¯s last name, which in German means horse (Huf) and
nail (nagel). So, was she bound to this look with such a name? I don¡¯t
know but I like it! The horsebit has been done to exhaustion (Gucci) but
here there is a slight twist to it ¨C it is the shoulder strap with some
rocker like chains to make it edgy like a futuristic outlaw rather than
hoity toity polo player. The super grainy textured leather in military
green is the perfect canvas to bring this back into city life (saddle
brown would take this straight to tumbleweed town). There is an
detachable long shoulder strap to wear coach totes this cross body with the chains and horsebit hanging but that look is highly discouraged. At Shopbop for $1280.
Great way to ruin the perfect run of a Snob Worthy season, this old wig
(a.k.a. bag) is offensive enough to negate all the lusty must haves for
Marni. It¡¯s downright creepy ¨C why would you want to carry Cousin It
around with you? Maybe for the hair fetish neurotic who can stroke the
locks all day. *Shiver*. I would be so scared to have this in my house, I
thought my daughter¡¯s Barbie beauty head was terrifying, this is like
horror movie material. Can you image waking up to this decapitated head?
And in the humid heat of summer, would it start to smell? What about
tangles? Does it require regular conditioning treatments? I¡¯m obviously
spending way too much time thinking cheap coach backpacks about a bag that nobody will EVER subject themselves to. At Net-a-Porter for $1500.
Australia Luxe: Prep Yourself for Winter with the Nordic Angel
Posted at 11:38 AM, 8/8/2011
I have a lovely pair of Australia Luxe boots that I wanted to show you
now that the weather has gotten colder. I¡¯ve been meaning to share them
with you for a while, but my Montana horseback riding vacation never
happened, so they¡¯ve been in the closet for a bit. But lo and behold,
crisp Christian Louboutin Sandals weather has me pulling them out and throwing them on nearly daily!
These are truly luxurious boots, with rabbit fur trim and a gorgeous,
soft Australian sheepskin and Australian shearling and lining. I met the
Australia Luxe owner herself at FFANY and she was a lovely woman,
someone who truly cares about and invests in her product. I mean, almost
all of the boot materials are from Australia, which is more than I can
say for a lot of the shearling boots out there! They come in grey, sand,
chocolate and chesnut as well.
The shearling on the inside is so comfortable I could die. It¡¯s no
wonder every celebrity from Megan Fox to Jessica Alba has been seen in
them! There isn¡¯t a ton of arch support, but most of the shearling boots
are made to be pretty flat on the bottom, something you can just slip
on. They¡¯re not just for Christian Louboutin Boots apres-ski;
these are a great commuting boot for cold days walking up those subway
or train steps. The sole has good traction, and the fur keeps me really
warm.
These are the short ones. Personally, I¡¯d recommend the tall ones,
especially if you live somewhere very cold with high snow drifts. And
don¡¯t forget to Manolo Blahnik Shoes check out the rest of Australia Luxe¡¯s winter collection, including outerwear and rain boots, here.
Kim Kardashian Bowls in Louboutins
Posted at 11:38 AM, 8/8/2011
I¡¯ve sacrificed comfort and functionality Christian Louboutin Sale in
the name of fashion before, but this image of Kim Kardashian bowling /
hosting the opening of High Rollers Luxury Lane in Louboutins is just
plain ridiculous. Sure, Kim¡¯s doing this to get press for Christian Louboutin Heels the event (job done!), but aren¡¯t there other more stylish and sensible shoes you can wear so that you don¡¯t risk a tumble?
What would you do if you were hosting an event and were getting Christian Louboutin Pumps paid big bucks? Go for the glamorous look in stilettos or tone it down a bit in wedges or even cute, trendy oxfords?
Spring 2011 Runway: Marc Jacob for Louis Vuitton
Posted at 11:38 AM, 8/8/2011
The Louis Vuitton SS2011 runway was a collage of Chinoiserie and African
references ¨C lots of beading, lush brocades, dimensional fur and fringe
effects, all in vibrant color mixes. And the shoes? Well, as usual,
Marc Jacobs keeps things surprising and original. But, while that Christian Louboutin Wedges Sale helps
to keep us from getting bored, it also often leaves me taking days or
even weeks to decide if I like the shoes he is presenting in any given
season.
On a positive note, the SS2011 Louis Vuitton shoes do not have me
drawing back in horror as I did for the fuzzy-tasseled shoes Marc Jacobs
created for last spring¡¯s SS2010 LV collection.
These giraffe-heeled shoes were presented in a plethora of color
combinations as well as a lower demi-wedge silhouette that reminded me
of these Tory Burch Shoes Sale Casedei heels from a few seasons back.
And, if the giraffe-leg stiletto isn¡¯t working for you, there were also
chunkier tiger (zebra?)-striped heels as well as these fringe-beaded
heels on view as well. I¡¯m not sure if I could find an occasion to wear
them. But they certainly are exuberant and youthful.
Are these practical for most wardrobes? Perhaps Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale not. But, they certainly are artful.
What do you think?
Manolo Blahnik: Kahika Floral Cut-out Boots
Posted at 11:38 AM, 8/8/2011
One thing that is as inevitable as the changing of the seasons as they
cycle through their yearly progress is the guarantee that I will have at
least one unattainable* shoe-crush during each of these seasons.
With Manolo Blahnik¡¯s black-suede Kahika boots, I may have found said Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale crush for this fall.
Romantic and Feminine? Check.
Unique, yet not-too-trendy? Check.
Oh, and flowers, flowers, flowers? Check, check, check.
$1445?!! Unfortunately, check.
Yes, indeed, I am well-and-truly crushed by these.
*Unattainable Christian Louboutin Sandals Sale defined
as, ¡®I have too many other household or other budgetary priorities to
currently allow myself to spend this amount of cash or credit on any
pair of shoes, no matter how decadent and lovely they may be¡¯. Those
readers not so limited by budget or sticker shock may feel free to
indulge to their delight; I can live vicariously through the knowledge
that others are Christian Louboutin Short Boots Sale wearing these lovelies where I dare not.
